Srinagar, May 7 (JKNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday changed his display picture on social media platform X to “Operation Sindoor”, paying tribute to the valour, courage and bravery of the Indian Armed Forces on the anniversary of the operation.
As per news agency JKNS, Prime Minister’s updated display picture symbolically honoured the armed forces for their role in carrying out precise strikes on terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir during the operation
Meanwhile, in a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, the Prime Minister said, “A year ago, our armed forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and resolve during #OperationSindoor. They gave a fitting response to those who dared to attack innocent Indians at Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes our forces for their valour.”
PM Modi said that Operation Sindoor reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and reaffirmed the country’s unwavering commitment towards safeguarding national security.
He further stated that the operation showcased the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of the Indian Armed Forces while also highlighting the growing jointness among the forces.
The Prime Minister also underlined the importance of self-reliance in the defence sector, saying India’s push towards indigenous defence capabilities has significantly strengthened national security.
“Today, a year later, we remain as steadfast as ever in our resolve to defeat terrorism and destroy its enabling ecosystem,” the Prime Minister said in his post. (JKNS)
