Omar Abdullah to Inaugurate ₹76 Crore Development Projects During Shopian Visit
Shopian, July 2, KNT: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is scheduled to visit Shopian district today to review the progress of developmental works and assess the implementation of key government welfare programmes.
During the visit, the Chief Minister will dedicate development projects worth more than ₹76 crore to the people of the district, marking a significant boost to infrastructure and public services in south Kashmir.
Besides reviewing ongoing projects, Omar Abdullah will interact with farmers and fruit growers to take stock of issues confronting the horticulture sector, which forms the backbone of Shopian’s economy.
The visit is also expected to focus on the implementation of welfare initiatives and the pace of development works being executed by various government departments in the district.
Senior civil and police officials are expected to accompany the Chief Minister during the visit. [KNT]
