Journalist Association Kashmir Condoles Demise of Abdur Rahman, Father of Senior Journalist Bilal Ur Rehman

The Journalist Association Kashmir (JAK) has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Abdur Rahman, father of Bilal Ur Rehman, Managing Editor of Awami Reporter, who passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
Late Abdur Rahman, a native of Tumlahal, Pulwama, was a highly respected, dignified and widely admired personality known for his honesty, humility, integrity and selfless service to society.
Throughout his life, he earned the affection and respect of colleagues, friends and the local community through his exemplary character and unwavering commitment to public service.
He served the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) with distinction and dedication, rising to the position of Senior Manager. During his illustrious career, he held several important responsibilities and was widely regarded as an able, sincere and conscientious officer. He retired from government service in 2010 after rendering decades of dedicated service to the tourism sector.
In a condolence message, the Journalist Association Kashmir described his passing as an irreparable loss not only for the bereaved family but also for all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Members of the association, including journalists from across Kashmir, extended their heartfelt condolences to Bilal Ur Rehman and the entire bereaved family, praying for strength and patience to bear this immense loss.
The association said that Late Abdur Rahman would always be remembered for his noble values, gentle nature, impeccable integrity and lifelong dedication to serving both the public and his community.
The Journalist Association Kashmir prayed that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, envelop him in His infinite mercy, grant him the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, illuminate his grave with divine light, and bestow patience (Sabr-e-Jameel) upon the bereaved family during this hour of profound grief.
