Relief for Residents : April 21–22 Water Cut in Srinagar Postponed Until Further Orders
Srinagar, April 20: (JKNN) In a significant relief to the public, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has postponed the proposed shutdown of the Sindh Power Canal that was scheduled for April 21 and 22, 2026.
The Office of the Executive Engineer, Water Works Division Srinagar, stated that the decision was taken due to unavoidable circumstances and technical issues. The shutdown has now been deferred until further orders, with fresh dates to be announced soon.
The postponement means there will be no disruption in water supply on the earlier announced dates, easing concerns among residents who had begun preparations for water storage.
Authorities have expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and urged the public to stay updated for further notifications.
