KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown Schedule Across Kashmir, Multiple Areas to Face Electricity Disruptions

Srinagar, Aug 03: (JKNN) Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Kashmir due to maintenance and line-related works.
According to the official notification, the shutdown of the 33 kV Rangreth-Wanbal-Doodhganga Tapline will be observed on 09 August 2026, affecting power supply to Kralpora, Wanbal, SIDCO and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Similarly, the 33 kV Cheshmashahi-TRC-Nedous line will remain shut on 04 August 2026, resulting in power disruptions from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM in Gupkar, Church Lane, Radio Kashmir, CD Hospital, Kohnakhan, JK Bank Head Office, Lal Chowk, Chief Justice Residence, Regal Chowk, IMPA, Banquet Hall, MLA Hostel, Paras Hospital, as well as the CM Residence, Dy. CM Residence, Rabita House and DC Residence and adjoining areas.
KPDCL further stated that the shutdown of the 33 kV Amargarh-Nowpora line will affect Nowpora, Seelo, Achabal, Behrampora, Bomai, Bugoo and adjoining areas from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM on 10 and 12 August 2026.
In Kupwara district, the shutdown of the 33 kV Arampora-Kupwara Old, Galizoo Tapline will affect Kupwara Town-B, Zangli, the entire Lolab Valley, Machil Valley and adjoining areas from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM on 08 and 10 August 2026.
Likewise, the 33 kV Tral-1st (Tapline Chewa) will remain under shutdown on 06, 09 and 11 August 2026, affecting Chewa, Trali Baala, Bajwani, Khalil, Bathnoor, Hayina and adjoining areas from 08:00 AM to 02:00 PM.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled shutdown periods.
