Anantnag, June 12: (JKNN) Senior National Conference (NC) leader and District Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, today reviewed the restoration work of the Bon Turoo–Teilwani irrigation canal, which had been blocked due to debris brought by a recent cloudburst in the Rakh Brah area, affecting a vast stretch of agricultural land and disrupting irrigation facilities for local farmers.
During the visit, Shah reiterated that the National Conference remains firmly committed to addressing the genuine concerns and grievances of the people. He stated that, under the directions of the party leadership and the District President, his personal efforts led to the arrangement of a JCB machine for the immediate clearance of the canal, enabling the restoration of irrigation facilities and providing much-needed relief to the farming community.
Imran Shah also expressed his gratitude to the district administration for its prompt response and cooperation in resolving the issue. He assured the local residents that he would continue to stand by the people and remain available to serve them in times of need.
Meanwhile, Imran Shah expressed profound gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Railway Minister for announcing the stoppage of the Vande Bharat Express at Anantnag Railway Station, describing the decision as a significant step towards improving connectivity and facilitating public convenience in the region.
He also extended his sincere thanks to Hon’ble Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the party’s Members of Parliament for their proactive and decisive role in securing this important achievement for the people of Anantnag and South Kashmir.
Imran Shah stated that the Vande Bharat halt at Anantnag reflects the collective efforts of the government and public representatives and will greatly benefit commuters, students, traders, and tourists alike.
