DC Directs Banks to Expedite Mission YUVA Loan Disbursals
Srinagar, July 29, KNT: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Wednesday directed banks and Small Business Development Units (SBDUs) to expedite the disbursal of cases approved by the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under the Mission YUVA scheme to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment across the district.
The directions were issued during a review meeting convened to assess the progress and implementation of the Mission YUVA initiative in Srinagar.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for close coordination between banks and implementing agencies to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive financial assistance without unnecessary delay, enabling them to establish sustainable livelihood ventures.
He also reviewed the status of pending and sanctioned cases and called upon all stakeholders to speed up the processing and disbursal of approved applications to achieve the objectives of the flagship employment generation programme.
Mission YUVA aims to encourage entrepreneurship among youth by facilitating access to financial support, skill development and institutional assistance, thereby creating self-employment opportunities across Jammu and Kashmir. [KNT]
