KPDCL announces power shutdown schedule for Srinagar, Tral and adjoining areas
Srinagar, July 29: (JKNN) The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in several areas of Srinagar and Tral to facilitate maintenance works on various 33 kV transmission lines.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 kV KP Bagh line will affect power supply to KP Bagh, Soiteng PHE, Mehjoornagar, Jawaharnagar, Kursoo, Rajbagh, Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 2, 5 and 10, 2026.
Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Exhibition line and 33 kV Silk Factory line will affect Exhibition, Baranpanther, Batamaloo, Silk Factory, Allochibagh, Rambagh, LD Hospital, Old Barzullah, Solina and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on August 2, 2026.
In addition, the shutdown of the 33 kV Awantipora Tral-1st line and 33 kV Zirpora Tapline will affect power supply to Chewa, Tral Bala, Bawani, Veeri, Nowbugh, Srigufwara, Kanalwan, Beewora, Darigund and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM on August 1, 2026.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and make suitable arrangements during the scheduled shutdown period.
