Facebook, Instagram Face Global Outage; Users Report Login Issues
Srinagar, June 12: (JKNN) Thousands of social media users across the globe reported disruptions on Facebook, with some users also experiencing issues accessing Instagram on Friday evening.
Several users complained that they were unable to log in to their accounts, refresh feeds, or access various platform features.
The outage appeared to affect users in multiple regions, triggering widespread concern and discussion on other social media platforms.
While speaking to users, many said they had been unable to access their Facebook accounts for the last 5 to 10 minutes.
“We are trying to log in to our account, but it is unable to connect for the last 5–10 minutes,” said several affected users.
There was no immediate official statement regarding the cause of the disruption. The issue appears to be affecting both Facebook and, for some users, Instagram as well.
The extent and duration of the outage remain unclear.
According to reports, many users were automatically logged out of their Facebook and Instagram accounts and faced difficulties logging back in. The outage appeared to affect both individual users and administrators of major social media pages.
While speaking to JKNews Nation, several users said they initially feared their accounts had been compromised.
“When we were suddenly logged out and couldn’t log back in, we thought our account had been hacked,” said a number of affected users.
