Power Shutdown Announced by KPDCL in Several Srinagar Areas

Srinagar, April 29: (JKNN) The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar to carry out essential maintenance works.
According to the official statement, the shutdown of the 33 kV Habak–Zakura line will be observed on May 11, 2026, due to which electricity supply to Zakura, Batpora, Gulab Bagh, Burzhama, Chatterhama, Tailbal, Danihama, Khimber, Shoperbagh and adjoining areas will remain affected from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 kV Odina Tapline will be carried out on April 30 and May 02, 2026, impacting power supply to the Transit Migrant Accommodation at Odina from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on both days.
KPDCL has advised residents of the affected areas to take necessary precautions and cooperate during the scheduled shutdown period to facilitate smooth execution of the maintenance work.
