J&K High Court Orders Darbar Move to Srinagar from May 4 for Summer Season
Main Wing to close at Jammu on April 30; special TA fixed at ₹25,000 for shifting employees
Srinagar, Apr 18 (KNC): The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered the annual Darbar Move of its Main Wing from Jammu to Srinagar for the Summer Season 2026, with offices scheduled to resume functioning in Srinagar from May 4.
As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, an order issued by the Registrar General stated that key offices including the Main Wing of the High Court, office of the Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Registrar Vigilance, Director J&K Judicial Academy, Registrar Rules, Registrar IT and Central Project Coordinator (e-Courts) will close at Jammu on April 30 after office hours and reopen at Srinagar on May 4 (forenoon).
The order further states that a uniform Special Move Travelling Allowance of ₹25,000 will be granted to employees undertaking the move. However, the allowance will not be applicable to those who fail to shift within the stipulated timeline. (KNC)
