Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive Held in Bandipora.

A large-scale menstrual hygiene awareness and sanitary pad distribution program was organized today at SAM School, Aloosa, in Bandipora by the Eva Safety Door Association in collaboration with the Baala Group.
A significant number of students participated in the program, reflecting an encouraging response. During the session, speakers addressed various aspects of menstrual hygiene, highlighting the importance of maintaining cleanliness and good health during menstruation. The awareness session proved both informative and impactful.
The speakers elaborated on the subject from both scientific and Islamic perspectives, emphasizing the importance of personal hygiene during menstruation. They also discussed the physical and emotional changes women experience during this period, including mood swings and hormonal imbalances, and provided guidance on how to manage them effectively.
Additionally, the speakers stressed the importance of family support, urging family members to be understanding and supportive towards women during menstruation.
As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were distributed among the participating students.
The program was organized under the leadership of Irfana Zargar, Chairperson of the Eva Safety Door Association, who was also present on the occasion. She expressed her gratitude to the students, school staff, and participants for their cooperation and support. She also thanked her team members for their dedication and efforts in making the event successful.
Irfana Zargar further stated that such awareness programs will continue in the future to promote menstrual hygiene and women’s health.
