DSEK Suspends Officer for Negligence During Grant Session
Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNC): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has suspended a Junior Assistant for dereliction of duty and non-compliance of official instructions during the ongoing Legislative Assembly discussion on Demand for Grants, officials said on Wednesday.
According to the official order issued by DSEK as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the officer, deployed at the office of Chief Education Officer, Ganderbal, left his post, switched off his mobile phone, and failed to provide the required information. This caused considerable delay in compiling and submitting data to the Administrative Department, which was needed for the smooth functioning of the Legislative Assembly proceedings.
The order stated that in response to Cut Motions received during the current session of the Assembly, all subordinate officers were directed to keep their offices open and remain available until replies were submitted. “However, contrary to the directions, the officer has left the office, switched off his mobile phone, and failed to respond, resulting in a breach of service conduct and dereliction of duties,” the order read.
In view of the lapse, and in accordance with Rule-31 of J&K CCA Rules 1956, the Junior Assistant has been placed under suspension and attached to Boys High School Kachpathri, Ganderbal, with immediate effect. (KNC)
