Srinagar, Dec 3 (KS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police have been carrying out an extensive investigation involving murder of a person at the hands of his wife and her paramour in Zaloora area of Sopore.
Addressing a presser, a police official, as per news agency Kashmir Scroll said that they on 01/12/2023 complaint lodged by one lady namely Shaista resident of Zaloora who was accompanied by some neighbors and relatives in Ps Bomai that during intervening night her husband namely Riyaz Ahmad mir resident of Zaloora went outside of his house and didn’t return back till morning.”
“After receiving complaint police went to the spot for verification, police during search along with locals found body of Riyaz ah mir in the trench of his house which was covered with lid, Police retrieved dead body from the trench on spot after”, the police official said.
“Examining the body police found that it is murder and a case was registered and subsequently medical formalities were completed.”
During investigation, the official said, some suspects were called for questioning including the wife of deceased Shaista who lodged a missing complaint related to his husband.
“During questioning shaista (wife of deceased) confessed that she along with her boyfriend namely Waseem Akram Lone son of Farooq Ah Lone resident of Tujjer killed her husband during night and concealed his dead body in the trench”, said the official.
“After confession accused Waseem Akram lone was also arrested who also confessed his crime and rope used in committing the crime were also recovered.”
“A case vide FIR number 46/2023 under section 302 IPC stands registered in this regard while further investigation is going on”, the official said further. (KS)
