Youth hangs self to death in Pattan

Pattan, Oct. 17 (KS): A youth hanged himself to death in north Kashmir’s Pattan village on Tuesday evening.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a 19-year-old youth laborer by profession (name withheld), a resident of the Trikolbal area of Pattan, hanged himself at his workplace in Pattan.

The officer said that immediately he was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

A police officer told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that the dead body of the youth has been taken to Sub District Hospital Pattan for medical and legal formalities.

The officer, however, said that a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
