Summer Vacations in Kashmir Schools from July 6 to 19; DSEK Order Likely Tomorrow

Srinagar, June 30 (KNC): The School Education Department is set to announce summer vacations for all government and private schools across Kashmir Division from July 6 to July 19, with the formal order by the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) likely to be issued on Wednesday, official sources said.
Official sources told KNC that the decision has been taken in view of the prevailing heatwave and rising temperatures across the Valley.
The sources said the vacation will remain in force from July 6 to July 19, and schools are scheduled to reopen on July 20, subject to the issuance of the formal order.
They said the Director of School Education Kashmir is expected to issue the official notification on Wednesday after the proposal receives the necessary approval.
The authorities have advised students, parents and school managements to await the formal government order for confirmation of the vacation schedule. (KNC)
