M S Nazki Receives DG Assam Rifles Commendation Medal
Delhi 20/02/2026 (JKNN)The Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, honoured M S Nazki, noted author and Special Defence Correspondent, with the DG Assam Rifles Commendation Medal during Unity Utsav 2.0 held in Delhi.
Mr Nazki, a distinguished son of the soil, is widely known for his work as a social worker and philanthropist. The honour was conferred in recognition of his significant contributions towards fostering strong and positive relations between the Assam Rifles and civil society across the North East region of India.
The recognition has been warmly welcomed by people in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (UT), who have expressed pride and gratitude to the Assam Rifles for acknowledging Mr Nazki’s dedication and longstanding service in strengthening civil–military understanding.
The award highlights the importance of collaborative engagement between security forces and communities, with Mr Nazki’s efforts being seen as a notable example of building trust and mutual respect.
