LPG Price Hike Hits Businesses as Commercial Cylinder Cost Rises
New Delhi, Apr 1 (JKNN): Businesses across the country may feel the pinch as commercial LPG prices were raised by Rs 195.50 on Wednesday, driven by a steep rise in global oil prices linked to the West Asia conflict.
Domestic LPG rates, however, remain unchanged.
According to state-owned oil marketing companies, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has now increased to ₹2,078.50 in Delhi. The latest hike comes after a previous increase of ₹114.50 per cylinder on March 1.
However, domestic LPG prices remain unchanged. A 14.2-kg cooking gas cylinder continues to cost ₹913 in the national capital. The domestic rates were last revised earlier in March.
Fuel retailers including Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise LPG prices on the first day of every month based on international benchmarks and currency fluctuations.
