Iran State Media Says Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei Killed in Strikes “the Supreme Leader of Iran has reached martyrdom,”
Tehran, March 1: (JKNN) Iranian state media on Sunday reported that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been killed in a series of strikes on Tehran, confirming claims earlier made by former US President Donald Trump.
State broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) announced that “the Supreme Leader of Iran has reached martyrdom,” in a statement aired Sunday morning.
According to reports carried by the semi-official Fars News Agency, which is affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, several members of Khamenei’s family — including his daughter, son-in-law, and a grandchild — were also killed in the strikes. The outlet further reported that a daughter-in-law of the late leader died in the attack.
The reported killing follows a barrage of joint strikes attributed to the United States and Israel, though official confirmation and independent verification of the claims remain limited.
Further details are awaited as regional tensions continue to escalate.
