National Conference Expands Grassroots Base in Anantnag; Imran Shah Welcomes New Entrants
Anantnag, July 6: (JKNN) Senior National Conference leader and Vice District President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, today said that the pro-people policies and governance approach of the National Conference are receiving an overwhelming response from the people, with large numbers of like-minded individuals and political workers joining the party across the district.
He was addressing a joining programme during which several workers from different areas joined the National Conference. Among those who joined the party were, Mudasir Ah khan, Hamid Nisar, Reyaz Ah wani, Gulzar Ah Bhat, Sheikh Junaid and several other prominent workers, who expressed full faith in the leadership and vision of the National Conference.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Imran Amin Shah said that the National Conference has always remained committed to the welfare and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the party is determined to ensure the holistic development of Anantnag and restore its historic prestige and glory, which, he said, had been severely compromised over the years.
Shah alleged that the previous PDP-led government and the subsequent period under the Lieutenant Governor’s administration witnessed widespread administrative failures, corruption, nepotism, and the misappropriation of substantial developmental funds through some leaders in Municipal Council Anantnag . He said these shortcomings have adversely affected the growth and development of the historic town.
He observed that Anantnag continues to face serious civic challenges, including inadequate municipal services, choked drainage systems, persistent traffic congestion, and poor urban management, causing immense inconvenience to the public.
Expressing confidence in the leadership of the National Conference, Shah said the present government is committed to transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. He reiterated that the party would continue to work tirelessly for equitable development, improved civic infrastructure, employment generation, and the overall welfare of the people.
The newly inducted workers assured the party leadership of their full support and pledged to strengthen the National Conference at the grassroots level while taking its policies and programmes to every section of society.
