DGP sanctions special welfare relief of over Rs 1.01 cr, financial assistance for martyr’s daughter
Srinagar, Aug 07 (KNO): Continuing with its welfare measures and to provide assistance to the families of the police personnel, SPOs, the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh Monday sanctioned Special Welfare Relief of over Rs 1.01 crore for the next of kin of seven deceased police personnel, SPOs vide different orders.
The Special Welfare Relief of rupees 22 lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of dependents, legal heirs of deceased police personnel ASI Bashir Ahmad, ASI Sansar Chand, SgCt Nazir Ahmad and Follower Sohan Singh who passed away while in service, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Rupees one lakh each has been already paid to the NoK of deceased police personnel for performing the last rites as immediate relief by the PHQ through their concerned units. The financial assistance has been given out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund.
He has also sanctioned special relief of rupees 06 lakh each in favour of dependents, legal heirs of deceased SPO Zahoor Ahmad and SPO Abdul Khaliq who passed away during their engagement with the department. The financial assistance has been given out of the Contributory Welfare Fund of SPOs.
Moreover the DGP has sanctioned rupees one lakh as financial assistance in favour of the daughter of a martyr police official to defray the expenses in connection with the marriage ceremony of his daughter. The amount has been given out of the Police Pariwar Fund.
