Amid Freezing Weather, ChoChoo Mohalla in Srinagar Faces 3-4 Month Water Shortage: Residents Forced to Melt Snow for Drinking Water

Srinagar 29/12/2024 (JKNN) ChoChoo Mohalla near Mamta Hotel, faces an acute water crisis as residents endure harsh winter conditions without access to drinking water for the past three to four months. Despite repeated appeals to the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department, no action has been taken, leaving the residents in despair.
“We’ve pleaded with the authorities several times, but nothing has been done. Our children are thirsty. We’ve had to melt snow to provide them with water,” shared a distressed local.
With temperatures plummeting, the lack of drinking water has only worsened the plight of the residents. They are calling on the government to intervene urgently and provide relief.
