Historic medical breakthrough in Tulail: The LIFT Foundation brings specialist doctors to remote border village in unprecedented healthcare drive

SHEIHKPURA TULAIL (JKNN ) On 15th August, 2026, bringing vital healthcare directly to remote areas, The LIFT Foundation recently hosted its inaugural medical and mental health awareness camp in Sheikhpura Tulail, featuring a team of visiting doctors and a psychiatrist. The milestone outreach drew overwhelming community participation, welcoming people of all age groups for free checkups, specialized consultations, and essential diagnostics. The atmosphere was filled with joy and relief as local residents expressed immense happiness, extending heartfelt thanks to the foundation for bringing specialized care directly to their doorstep.
Expressing deep appreciation for the community’s warmth and cooperation, Ms. Amreen Qadir also extended heartfelt gratitude to the local residents for their active participation and trust.
She additionally conveyed sincere thanks to the dedicated nurses and the entire staff at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) for their relentless support, hard work, and instrumental role on the ground.
A key highlight of the day was a formal felicitation ceremony where the visiting medical professionals and specialists were honored by the Block Medical Officer Gurez, and the foundation reciprocated by felicitating the Block Medical Officer to acknowledge vital administrative cooperation. Ms. Amreen Qadir extended deep gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora and the Block Medical Officer Gurez for their invaluable support in making the event a resounding success. She also warmly thanked RJ Shahnawaz Samoon for powerfully amplifying the mission and community voices through media platforms, playing a vital role in ensuring its success.
Reflecting on her deep personal roots and lifelong inspiration tied to the region, Ms. Qadir shared: “Carrying forward the enduring vision of my father and grandfather, whose lifelong dream is to uplift and serve the Dard-Shin community, this mission is deeply personal to me. True development begins when healthcare and mental wellness are no longer a privilege of geography, but a fundamental reality for every human being, no matter how remote their home. Through this initiative, we are breaking long standing silences around mental well being and building a durable bridge of care, dignity, and hope for our mountain communities.” This landmark camp sets a powerful precedent for future collaborative health initiatives across Gurez and Tulail.
