Baramulla Police Conduct Surprise Inspection of SIM Vendors in Pattan
Baramulla, Aug 8, KNT: Baramulla Police on Saturday conducted a surprise inspection of SIM card vendors in Pattan area to review compliance with prescribed verification and documentation procedures.
During the inspection, police checked the Know Your Customer (KYC) records maintained by the vendors and reviewed their compliance with guidelines governing the issuance of SIM cards.
The vendors were directed to ensure proper verification of customers and maintain complete and accurate documentation at the time of issuing SIM cards.
Police said such inspections are aimed at ensuring strict adherence to the prescribed procedures and strengthening safeguards around SIM card issuance. [KNT]
