PM Reviews Reform Agenda, Urges Secretaries to Accelerate Ease of Doing Business, Ease of Living
Calls for Whole-of-Government Approach, Greater Coordination to Achieve Viksit Bharat Vision by 2047
New Delhi, July 01 (KNC): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held an extensive interaction with Secretaries of various Central Government Ministries and Departments, stressing the need to accelerate governance reforms, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and ensure that government initiatives deliver measurable benefits to citizens.
During the high-level meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the progress of reforms aimed at improving Ease of Doing Business, Ease of Living, and promoting Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Secretaries presented updates on key initiatives undertaken by their respective ministries, highlighting achievements, ongoing reforms, challenges, and future action plans.
Emphasising a whole-of-government approach, the Prime Minister urged officials to break departmental silos and work in close coordination to ensure faster implementation of public welfare schemes. He also called for wider use of the PM GatiShakti platform to enhance planning, improve decision-making, and facilitate seamless coordination among departments.
Modi asked senior bureaucrats to remain focused on the real impact of government programmes on the lives of citizens, stating that governance should be outcome-oriented and centred on improving public service delivery.
The discussions also focused on regulatory simplification, administrative efficiency, and measures to promote investment, innovation, and self-reliance as part of India’s long-term development strategy.
Officials briefed the Prime Minister on sector-specific reforms and outlined future roadmaps to support the Government’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047 through sustained policy reforms and effective governance.(KNC)
