Youth Dies, 3 Injured After SUV Falls Into Dal Lake on Srinagar’s Foreshore Road
Srinagar, May 26 (JKNS): A tragic road accident claimed the life of a youth while three others were injured after a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the Dal Lake along Srinagar’s Foreshore Road on Tuesday evening.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS stated that an Eco Sports vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-3260 hit a road divider on Foreshore road before falling into the lake.
In the incident, one youth died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries. The deceased has been identified as Zameer Showkat, a resident of Rainawari area of Srinagar, reports said.
The injured persons were immediately rescued and shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation into the matter. (JKNS)
