Two Medical Shops Suspended in Dooru as Police Tighten Crackdown on Irregular Sale of Medicines
Anantnag, May 03:(KNC)Continuing its intensified drive against drug abuse and illegal pharmaceutical practices, Anantnag Police on Friday carried out a joint inspection of medical establishments in Dooru area in coordination with officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Drugs Control Department.
During the inspection, authorities suspended the licence and operations of Sabreen Medical Agencies after serious irregularities were found in the sale and handling of medicines during verification.
In a similar action, Asraria Pharmacy was also placed under suspension after officials detected discrepancies between the available stock of medicines and the records maintained by the establishment.
Officials said the action is part of an ongoing crackdown aimed at curbing misuse of controlled drugs, unauthorized sale of medicines, and violations that could fuel substance abuse and illegal narcotics networks in the region.
The drive is expected to continue across other areas to ensure strict enforcement of drug control norms and safeguard public health.(KNC)
