KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdown Across Multiple Areas in Kashmir
Srinagar, April 15: (JKNN) The Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various parts of Kashmir in view of maintenance and repair works on several transmission lines.
According to the official statement, the shutdown of the 33 kV Soibugh–Wadwan line will affect power supply to Soibugh, Dharmuna, Wadwan, Rasoo, Gotpora, Chatbugh, Pymus, Gariend, Nadigam, Banggam, Wahpora and adjoining areas from 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM on April 16, 2026.
Similarly, the 33 kV Kremshore line will remain shut, impacting electricity supply to Old Kremshore, Arigam, Nuner, Shamsabad, Dreygam, Branwar, Sursyar, Raithan, Khansahib, Shinipora, Yarikhah and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM on April 18, 2026.
In another scheduled shutdown, the 33 kV Wanpoh–Ashajipora–Malaknag DC line will affect power supply to Ashajipora, Janglat Mandhi, Malaknag, Brakpora and nearby areas from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on April 16 and 18, 2026.
Likewise, the shutdown of the 33 kV Hiller–Shankerpora Tapline will impact Shankerpora, Bemdoora, Larkipora, Shrine and adjoining areas from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on April 16, 2026.
Furthermore, the shutdown of 132/33 kV GIS Khanyar will disrupt electricity supply to Industrial Estate-BAMK, Rajbagh Colony, Nowshera, Zadibal, Hawal, Botakadal, BSNL, Gilkadal, Kathi Darwaza, Rainawari, Psychiatric Hospital, PHE, Central Jail, Saida Kadal and adjoining areas from 10:30 AM to 04:30 PM on April 16 and 17, 2026.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to take necessary precautions and has sought public cooperation during the shutdown period.
