Srinagar 01/03/2026 (JKNN) A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck parts of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Saturday (March 1, 2026), with its epicenter located in Doda district.
According to seismic data, the tremor occurred at 01:25:57 IST at a shallow depth of 5 km, with coordinates recorded at 33.08°N latitude and 76.17°E longitude.
No casualties or property damage have been reported so far. However, the mild tremor was felt in several nearby areas, briefly causing panic among residents.
