Director Census J&K Amit Sharma Bereaved; Mother Passes Away
Srinagar, Feb 1 (KNC): Mrs. Santosh Sharma, mother of IAS officer Amit Sharma, Director Census, Jammu and Kashmir, passed away at the age of 87 after a brief spell of illness.
As per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), she had been a long-time survivor, bravely battling liver and heart-related ailments for several years.
IAS Amit Sharma described his mother as a constant source of inspiration throughout his life, stating that she laid a strong foundation for his success by instilling values of education, discipline, ethics and social responsibility from his childhood.
Following her demise, people from various sections of society expressed deep condolences over the loss and extended sympathies to the bereaved family.
They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and wished strength and courage to IAS Amit Sharma and his family to bear the irreparable loss. (KNC)
