SKIMS Strengthens Emergency Care: Modernised Emergency OT Inaugurated by Director Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie

Srinagar 12/01/2025 (JKNN ) : Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) has taken a significant step towards enhancing emergency healthcare services with the modernisation of its Emergency Operation Theatre (OT).
The upgraded facility was reviewed and inaugurated by Prof. M. Ashraf Ganie, Director SKIMS/EOSG, in the presence of senior faculty members and administrative officers.
The newly modernised Emergency OT is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology aimed at improving patient outcomes and surgical efficiency. Key additions include a C-Arm imaging system for real-time intraoperative imaging and precision-guided surgeries, along with an advanced laparoscope enabling minimally invasive emergency procedures.
These upgrades are expected to ensure faster recovery, reduced complications, and improved emergency surgical care.
Hospital authorities stated that this initiative reflects SKIMS’ continuous commitment to advancing healthcare infrastructure and delivering world-class medical services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
