Unidentified Woman’s Body Recovered Near Hazratbal Shrine; Police Begin Investigation

Srinagar, Dec 20: (JKNN) The dead body of an unidentified woman was recovered near the Hazratbal area, close to the Hazratbal Shrine, on Saturday Soon after the discovery, police reached the spot and took the body into custody for medico-legal formalities.
The body was first seen floating in the water by local residents, who immediately informed the police. Personnel from Hazratbal Police Station arrived at the location and retrieved the body.
Police have initiated proceedings to ascertain the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding her death. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
