A massive tragedy unfolded near Medina, Saudi Arabia, where 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims are feared dead after a horrific collision between a passenger bus and a fuel tanker.
According to early reports, the impact caused the bus to burst into flames, trapping several passengers inside. The pilgrims were travelling from Mecca to Medina at the time of the crash.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi stated that he has contacted the Indian Embassy in Riyadh and the Foreign Secretary, urging the Union Government and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to take immediate steps. He appealed for urgent action to repatriate the bodies and ensure medical assistance for any survivors injured in the accident.
