Technical Glitch Disrupts J&K Assembly Proceedings as Audio System Fails
Srinagar, Oct 29, KNT: Proceedings of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly were briefly disrupted on Wednesday after the audio system inside the House stopped functioning, causing inconvenience to members during the ongoing Autumn Session.
According to reports from inside the Assembly, several legislators faced difficulty in communicating as microphones and speakers suddenly went silent in the middle of the session. The disruption led to confusion and intermittent pauses in the debate until the Speaker intervened.
Speaker of the Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather informed the members that technical engineers had been called in to rectify the issue and assured that proceedings would resume normally once the problem was resolved.
Sources said the fault was caused by a sudden system malfunction in the main audio console, affecting both the member microphones and the public address system.
Despite the brief interruption, Assembly proceedings continued in a low-audio mode until partial restoration of the system. The Speaker thanked members for their patience as the technical team worked to fully restore sound connectivity. [KNT]
