The title, “Youth’s Crucial Role in Building a Prosperous Jammu & Kashmir,” encapsulates Shah’s message of collective responsibility and proactive engagement.
Shah’s remarks were framed in the context of the withdrawal of UAPA on SKAUST students, a development he welcomed. He emphasized the youth as a dynamic force and a valuable asset for the development of a nation. According to Shah, the prosperity of Jammu & Kashmir hinges on the active participation of its youth in fostering peace, combating the scourges of drugs and violence, and contributing positively to society.
Addressing a well-attended public meeting, Shah articulated the need for unity against those attempting to divert young minds onto the wrong path. He asserted that it is a shared responsibility to thwart nefarious designs and bring perpetrators to justice, safeguarding the future of the region.
Furthermore, Shah called upon the LG administration to amplify welfare schemes in rural areas, aiming to engage maximum youth in activities that strengthen democracy and contribute to the prosperity of the nation. He urged comprehensive planning to address rising confusion, chaos, and frustration among the people of Jammu & Kashmir, emphasizing the provision of viable sources for a healthy and honorable livelihood.
Shah’s concerns extended to local infrastructure, advocating for the widening of Anchidoora Anzulla Road and the construction of playfields for the youth. His plea for a flyover from Khanabal to Sarnal aimed at facilitating hassle-free commuting for tourists and Amarnath Yatris showcased his vision for inclusive development.
Notably, Shah stressed the imperative of a stable power supply during winters, highlighting its far-reaching impact on normal life and industrial production, particularly in Anantnag. He underscored the adverse effects of frequent power cuts on both daily life and the economic landscape, urging the administration to address this pressing issue.
The event also featured contributions from other speakers, including Fayaz Ahmad Tarrey, GH Mohiudin, Mohd Iqbal, Asif Ahmad Khandey, Peer Imtiyaz Ahmad, Waseem Ahmad, Mohd Yaqoob Khan, and Fayaz Ah donipawa.
