Youth Attempts to Flee During Checking in Nishat, Held with Charas

Srinagar, Dec 12, KNT: A naka team deployed by Police Station Nishat at Moti Mohalla Crossing on Boulevard Road apprehended a youth after he attempted to flee upon noticing the police.
A Police official told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that the individual was moving from Moti Mohalla towards Boulevard Road when he tried to run away. The naka party chased and tactfully caught him. During his personal search, a charas like substance was recovered.
During questioning, he identified himself as Aqib Ahmad Bhat, son of Khazir Mohammad Bhat, a 24 year old inhabitant of Pati Brain Nishat.
Police Station Nishat has registered a case under FIR number 102 of 2025 under sections 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway. [KNT]
