Young man drowns to death in South Kashmir’s Pulwama

Pulwama, Dec 2, KNT: A youngman died after the boat capsized in the river near Lelhar Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that scores of people were busy in extracting sand from the river Jehlum in wee hours on Saturday. A boat capsized suddenly and three persons fell into the river.
Others present in boats dragged out all the three persons from the river, however one among them was found dead.
The deceased has been identified as
Showket Ahmed Bhat son of Late Muh Akbar Bhat.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law. [KNT]
