Young boy carrying sports items in rice bag wins hearts on internet

Srinagar, Aug 01 (KNO): In a unique display of love for cricket, a 13-year-old boy from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was seen carrying gloves, a bag and other sports items in a bag used for carrying rice.
A picture of Uzair from Tarhama, Kunzer went viral on social media and the netizens showered love and appreciation to the boy for his enthusiasm towards the sport.
Talking exclusively to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Uzair’s father, Ghulam Nabi, said his son has immense love for cricket. He used to carry plastic bags, polythene and other bags to carry his cricket items.
“His friends came to call him, but they were not sure whether they could go to play cricket or not, as they don’t have a proper kit bag. After seeing them puzzled, Uzair suggested of carrying the sports items in a rice bag (locally known as Buhirr). He made holes in the sides, tied it to his back, and moved on,” Ghulam Nabi said.
Uzair studies in 6th standard.
Nabi said after the picture of his son went viral on social media; he received a kit bag along with a bat. “But if my child gets further support, he will play big as he has great respect and craze for the game,” he said—(KNO)
