World Humanitarian Day Celebrated at BOMIS Pampore: Students Shine in “Spreading Kindness” Event
Pampore, August 19, 2024 — Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS), Pampore, celebrated World Humanitarian Day on August 19, 2024, with a special event titled “Spreading Kindness: Small Acts of Kindness” in its Indoor Stadium. The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Mehnaz Rehman, who highlighted the importance of kindness and its lasting impact on society.
The event was presided over by Mr. Rajiv Choudhary, Principal of Army Public School, Srinagar, who mentored students on how to cultivate and understand kindness in their daily lives.
Students from grades 6, 7, and 8 actively participated, with Class 7 taking home the top honors. Mohd Affan of Class 7 Jupiter secured the first prize for his articulate and well-delivered speech, impressing the judges with his maturity beyond his years. The second position was shared by Jaziba Javed of Class 7 and Emaad ul Imaan of Class 8, who were praised as “speakers of tomorrow” by the judges.
A special award for Best Speaker was given to Ibaad Ashraf of Class 7 Jupiter, whose presentation on kindness through the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) deeply moved the audience.
The event was a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering humanitarian values among its students, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
