Woman found dead at in-laws home in Srinagar, family alleges murder

Srinagar, Feb 18 (KNO): The family members of a woman, who was found mysteriously dead at her in-laws home in Zonimar area of Srinagar, Sunday alleged that she has been murdered, while her in-laws claimed she died by suicide.
Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), family members of the woman, identified as Mehvish, alleged that she has been murdered by her in-laws.
One of the family members said that they tried to call her many times, but she was not available. “Her in-laws are claiming she died by suicide, but they have murdered her. We demand a thorough probe into the matter,” he said.
Meanwhile, a police official told KNO that FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered, and investigation is underway.
He said that the cause of woman’s death was also being ascertained—(KNO)
