Ganderbal, August 4 – (JKNN)/ A series of intense cloudbursts has severely impacted several villages in the Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, resulting in extensive damage to infrastructure, homes, and agricultural land.

Residents in the affected villages of Kawcharwan, Cherwa, and Padabal reported that the torrential rains triggered mudslides, which have blocked the Srinagar National Highway, an essential route for transportation and commerce in the region.

The situation has raised concerns about accessibility and safety as recovery efforts are urgently needed.
