Veteran CPM Leader Sitaram Yechury Dies at 72 After Prolonged Illness
Sitaram Yechury, the prominent General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), passed away on Thursday at the age of 72 after a prolonged illness. He was receiving treatment for an acute respiratory tract infection at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
