‘Vande Bharat’ Trains to Follow All-Weather Glass-Ceiling AC Train In Kashmir ; Officials

Srinagar, Oct 20 (KS) : Following the launch of the magnificent “Vistadome Coach,” an all-weather glass-ceiling AC train, the Indian railways are preparing to introduce the highly acclaimed Vande Bharat services to the Kashmir region.

Official sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that these services will be available in Srinagar within this financial year, once the Jammu-Srinagar railway line becomes functional.

The introduction of Vande Bharat trains to Kashmir is part of the government’s ambitious plan to modernize the railway system.

It is expected that the Jammu-Srinagar line will be operational within this financial year, opening up new possibilities for efficient and comfortable travel in the region official sources added.

Pertinently, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Railways Ashwani Vaishnaw Thursday launched the much-awaited Vistadome train service in Kashmir.

The train will make stops at key locations, including Srinagar, Awantipora, Ananthnag, Qazigund and Banihal.

As per LG administration this train service is expected to be a huge hit among visitors and locals, providing a feature-rich train experience.(KS)
