Urgent Concerns Regarding BSc Nursing Admissions for 2023 Academic Year
We are addressing a critical issue affecting BSc Nursing and Para-medical students.
On October 27, 2023, we noticed that the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has not conducted a second round of counseling for BSc Nursing admissions, despite the looming deadline of October 31, 2023.
The absence of a second counseling round is particularly concerning because JKBOPEE has been actively conducting counseling for various other courses until the same deadline.
This situation has placed numerous aspiring BSc Nursing students in an unfair and challenging position.
We appeal to JKBOPEE to reconsider its counseling process and embrace a multi-round approach, similar to other states.
“Students are appealing to the authorities that the cutoff should be around 20-25.”
This change would
benefit students by offering more opportunities to secure admission in their preferred colleges and ensure the sustainability of private educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir.
