Srinagar 21/10/2023 (JKNN) : Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, accompanied by party workers and leaders and carrying a picture of children killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, led a pro-Palestine and anti-Israel protest in Srinagar.
They chanted ‘Israel go back’ and ‘Leave Palestine’ slogans as they rallied outside her party headquarters.
Jammu and Kashmir Police prevented them from reaching Lal Chowk in Srinagar, stopping them half a kilometer away from the PDP office near Polo View.
Mehbooba Mufti expressed her concerns, stating, “There is grave injustice happen ing in Palestine, and the war needs to end.
The world needs to stand up and stop the war.”
She emphasized, “We are here against the atrocities faced by the people of Gaza and appeal to the UN to address this issue on humanitarian grounds.”
She also called on world nations to intervene and facilitate a ceasefire in Gaza.
