Rajouri, Feb 19, KNT: Jammu and Kashmir Police in coordination with the Army on Thursday arrested a man during a joint operation in the Nowshera area of Rajouri district and recovered foreign-made pistols and ammunition from his possession.
Officials said a joint team of Police Station Nowshera and Army personnel apprehended the accused, identified as Sachin Kumar, a local inhabitant of Sair Nowshera in the Raipur belt, during a search operation carried out on specific inputs.
During the operation, two foreign-made pistols, reportedly of Turkey and China origin, were recovered from the accused. Police said four magazines and 15 live rounds were also seized. The accused was allegedly unable to produce any valid documents authorising possession of the arms and ammunition.
