Two BSF Jawans Injured in Attack at Suspected Drug Hotspot in Samba

Jammu, Mar 30 (KNC): Two personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF), including an Inspector and a Sub-Inspector, were injured after being attacked by locals during a raid at a suspected drug hotspot in the Gujjar Basti area of Supwal in Samba district on Monday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC that the duo had gone to the area to carry out a search operation based on inputs about drug-related activities when they came under attack from local residents.
Sources added that the personnel were reportedly not in uniform at the time of the operation.
The injured have been identified as Inspector Imtiaz and Sub-Inspector Devender, who sustained injuries during the incident.
Both officials were shifted to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Authorities have taken cognizance of the matter, and further investigation is underway, sources said. (KNC)
