Tulip Festival: Srinagar Traffic Police Issues Route Advisory
Srinagar, Mar 23: Srinagar Traffic Police on Saturday issued traffic advisory on the opening of Tulip Garden to regulate smooth movement of traffic and avoid congestion on the stretch.
The officials said that due to the expected rush of people there are chances of traffic congestion and for the convenience of people and to avoid slow movement, one way traffic especially on Holidays shall be regulated initially w.e.f March 24, 2024 til April 10, 2024.
“Likewise, motorist’s intending to travel from Harwan-Shalimar-Nishat and other adjacent areas towards Lal-Chowk are requested to travel via Foreshore- Hazratbal route instead of Nishat-Boulevard road axis to reach their respective destination,” officials said.
They said “Motorists intending to travel from Gulab Bagh-Zakoora-Naseembagh-Habbak and adjacent areas shall adopt Habak – Dargah- Khanyar route to reach Lal Chowk instead of Foreshore Road”.
“Visitors are advised to park their vehicles at designated parking places only and avoid parking their vehicles on roadside. Wrongly, parked vehicles will be towed,” officials said and added, “The available parking places will be available at in front of Botanical Garden, Open land at Karpora, and LCMA Parking at Nishat”.
The officials held that emergencies shall be allowed to take the shortest route, while as one-way traffic will be implemented from 0900 hrs till 1900 hrs.KDC
