Trio booked under PSA, Shifted to Kot Balwal Jail
Shopian, Dec 27, KNT: Shopian Police have detained three alleged Over Ground Workers under the provisions of the Public Safety Act.
The detained individuals have been identified as Owais Ahmad Lone of Sedow, Mashooq Ahmad Shah of Shahlatoo, and Subzar Ahmad Gani of Check Choland, all inhabitants of Shopian district.
Police said the trio was repeatedly found involved in activities considered prejudicial to the security of the state. “Despite preventive measures and proceedings initiated earlier against them under Sections 170 and 126 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, they allegedly continued to indulge in unlawful activities, posing a serious threat to public order and security in the area.”
Police said that following due legal procedure, detention orders were obtained from the District Magistrate Shopian. The detenues were subsequently taken into custody and shifted to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal in Jammu.[KNT]
