Train, Connecting Budgam to Banihal, Catches Fire, All On Board Passengers Safe
Srinagar, Jan 25 (KS): A train connecting Budgam to Banihal and back caught fire on reaching Qazigund station on Wednesday afternoon, an official said.
The official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that the engine of the train number 09760 caught fire after which a prompt rescue operation was launched.
“The rescue operation has been largely successful and all the passengers on board are safe”, the official said.
“The rescue operation continued to avoid any damage to the rail”, the official added.
